Hi All
We have settled into the snailhouse and the daily rhythm of travel. In our usual search for the back roads we headed off through the very ordinary roads out of Urana but it was worth the birds and not a person for miles. We had a great night in the Hattah Kulkyne NP with a roaring fire and a couple of whiskies. The country is amazing and water everywhere - with birds!!!
Today we hit my favourite country - red.
Tonight we are in Burra SA - a heritage town built by the Welsh miners. We were here years ago but while the buildings have not changed the place looks smarter - as do all the little towns we have been through. Rain changes the mental outlook of the bush people. We have noticed that many of the gates and letter boxes for Station homestead have been painted. Just love it.
Tomorrow we head for Port Augusta.
Stay well.
Cheers and love
Mary and John
