Wave Rock is on the face of a massive granite outcrop bulging out of the surrounding very flat wheat belt. The early community added a wall of stone (gathered from the top of the outcrop) around the perimeter and added a resevoir in a valley in the rock. All the water that falls on the outcrop flows down the rock and via the wall to the resevoir. A classic example of aussie can do.
