This is Peak Charles in the middle of an otherwise flat terrain. It sits 60k off the main road up what was described as a "track". The snailhouse just tucked up her skirts and grundled along behind the big red car at 30kph like a champion. Toughie was very helpful on the grid of tracks. It was worth the rough ride as apart from seeing a malleefowl in the middle of the road, we ended up in a new, small National Park camp ground at the base of the peak fully equipped with a long drop, fireplaces and no other people.  Pa had collected extra wood with the butterknife so we not only sat up late by the fire but got up early and cooked a bush breakfast. We did the old peoples climb up to the saddle to the left of the peak and were rewarded with great views both ways. Really didn't want to leave.
