Today after a lazy start we headed out to Cape Le Grand and spent several hours driving into small inlets. The photos are of Thistle Cove. It would be impossible to exaggerate how white the sand is here and how blue and clear the water. As the waves start to stand up you can see through them. People sit on the bluffs and watch for schools of sharks and whales as they show up so clearly against the white ocean bottom.
Yesterday the coast from Perth around to Ravensthorpe was really knocked around by a severe storm - Cat 2. There is to be another tomorrow night and will supposedly make it around to us so we will stay put tomorrow and then take a detour up to Wave Rock before coming back down to the coast at Denmark. It will have lost its force by the time it gets here I am sure. We will just pull our heads in and shut down the snailhouse lid.
