Still at Laverton

On the edge of town ( approx 1 km square ) there is the Donger suburb. 7 rows of 8 donger units along side of 3 rows of 6 donger units - total occupancy approx 300 single rooms - all occupied.

People Story:- This morning Mary chatted up a gorgeous young man wandering past our van only to discovr he was a pilot. Deb and Ian remember those young pilots who flew out of Maree over Lake Eyre when we were there? Guess what, he was one of them and laughed when I talked about their night job working behind the bar at the pub. He met his girlfriend at that pub and they are still together. The outback is very small!

A Special Award :- This is our first.
It goes to Helen Farley and Cindy at the Braidwood Community Bank. John entered his pin number instead of the value of the fuel he wanted at a credit card operated service station (unmanned and now common in the outback) and naturally as his pin is six digits both the bowser and the bank had a meltdown and killed the card.
The ladies at Braidwood, after a phone call, were able to revive the card.
Mega thanks and your reward is a bottle of bubbles when we get home.
