We are in Alice having a resting, repairing, washing and restocking day. We will stay three more days as we have a great site on a bus shelter that has an outdoor wash up area and a huge shade area. It is in the furtherest corner of the park so we are not even aware of the other 999 people here. The Park is huge.
Our luck ran out just short of the Tjukayirla Roadhouse.
The roads went from bad to very bad and by the time we hit Docker River they had reached the beyond belief stage. We spent much of the time on the verge at a very strange angle fluctuating from 15mph to 45mph. The amazing amount of car wrecks and caravan hulks were constant reminders to be careful.
