This is Boulia and it is my new best town in the world because of the people.

A Bloke Blog:-

• The population of the Shire is 600
• Area of the Shire is just over 60,000 sq ks
• Pa assures me this translates into 100 sq ks per person. How cool is that!
• It is the capital of the Channel Country - which means at the moment every gully, drain, creek and river is full of red water - it is amazing!
• The red stump is in the main street
• Petrol is 159.9. Pa loves Q'land
• We turned around in the Store and there was Jimmy Sturghess looking at us after buying a loaf of bread. For those who do not know Jimmy he lives about 10ks from us.

While we were stranded we used:-

• Less than 50 litres of water. Guess who smells! Who knows what an APC is?
• We had ice in our whisky everynight.
• The deep freeze stayed frozen

Irony:-

• The morning we were to leave Refugee Cam No 2 the battery in the Prado was flat. Mmmm. See we were really not meant to leave!
